Copyright Policies for Open Access
The International Journal of Institute Educational Development Studies (IJIEDS) is fully committed to transparency regarding copyright ownership and the dissemination of scholarly work. Authors who submit manuscripts to IEDS retain full ownership of the copyright of their original material. As part of the journal’s open access policy, authors grant permission for individuals, organizations, and institutions to freely access the published material.

While the content may be accessed, reused, or quoted by others, proper and full attribution to the original author(s) and the journal is mandatory. Copyright protections apply solely to articles for which an individual is named as an author or co-author.
Authors’ Rights
Authors publishing with IEDS retain the following rights:
- The right to make copies of the article for personal use, including academic teaching and other scholarly activities
- The right to reproduce and distribute copies of the article, including in electronic form, for personal and academic use
- The right to present the article at conferences, seminars, and meetings, and to distribute copies at such events
- The retention of patent and trademark rights for any process, procedure, or method described in the article that was developed by the author(s)
- The right to include the article, in whole or in part, in a thesis or dissertation, provided it is not published commercially
- The right to create derivative works, extend the article into book-length form, or reuse portions or excerpts in other works, with full acknowledgment of the original publication in IEDS
Copyright Notice
By submitting and having a manuscript accepted for publication in IEDS, authors agree to the following terms:
- Authors retain copyright and grant IEDS the right of first publication
- The published work is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY 3.0), which permits others to share, reuse, and distribute the work, provided appropriate credit is given to the author(s) and the journal
- Authors may enter into separate, non-exclusive agreements for the distribution of the published version of the article, provided the original publication in IEDS is properly acknowledged
- Post-prints (final published versions) may be posted by authors, provided they are identical in format to the journal version; pre-prints are not permitted
- Authors may reuse data from the article in other works they create
- Authors may reproduce the article, in whole or in part, in any printed book (including theses or dissertations) authored by them, provided full attribution is given
- Authors and their affiliated institutions may reproduce the article, in whole or in part, for educational and instructional purposes
Reader and Librarian Rights
Readers and librarians are permitted to make copies of articles published in IEDS without prior permission under the following conditions:
- The copies are made for private study or research
- The copies are not sold or used for commercial purposes
Open Access Rights and Permissions
All articles published in IEDS are Open Access and distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) license. Authors retain full copyright ownership while allowing anyone to:
- Download
- Reuse
- Reprint
- Distribute
the article, provided proper attribution is given.
Authors are permitted to post the final published PDF of their article on personal websites, institutional repositories, or other free public servers immediately upon publication, provided that a direct link to the IEDS journal website is included.
